All hair isn't the same even on one's head. The front portion of my hair is straight, however the back is very thick and curly. I have been virtually natural all my life. However I have used the cream relaxers about 6 times in my life.
The last time I took a walk on the dark side was almost 10 years ago. I wanted to do something special for my wedding. My then fiance has only seen my big hair and I thought why not do something differently.
My father-in-law even asked me, "Is your hair real?" I'm not one to do much to my hair so keeping up with relaxers was never my forte. I have now accepted my hair and let "it" decide how "it" should be styled....
Did you know hair has it's own thought process? Lol, I have often quoted, "excuse my hair it has a attitude today" quite a few times in my life. It just does. Have you ever tried to style your hair on the day of an event and it just doesn't work out? No matter how much product you use it just doesn't want to cooperate? See, it has a hair attitude!

For the first time in 2018 I colored my hair 3 times and cut it all off. Since my hair is very thick it wouldn't dry in the interior of my hair. I was working out daily and couldn't figure out a style I could commit to. Since my hair refused to dry dry it would smell really bad. I'm talking about rotten veggies. Okay, I'm exaggerating a bit. Every 2 days I had to wash my hair this kind of regime was terrible for my hair. Due to this daily ritual it didn't retain any moisture and it was EXTREMELY DRY! I was worried about breakageso one day I said WHAT EVER and so....
I cut it and I looooove it!
