It's A Book Bash!

I know, I know you are saying what in the world is a book bash?

On February 19, 2018 I published my first children's book. Then is when I decided I never wanted to call it a book signing. Although I do sign books, I wanted children to know it wouldn't be a lecture, there will be music, snacks and more importantly FUN, FUN, FUN!!

Since "SUNSHINE'S TANGELED TRESSES" was published I've had the opportunity to do several assemblies, church events, and private book shows. If you haven't read it yet, its about a little girl that does not like her natural hair.

Arverne Friends Group has invited yours truly to host a Milk and Cookies Book Bash! I must confess I am beyond excited! Arverne is surrounded by water on 3 sides. It is located in the boro of Queens, New York. Arverne sits kind of in the middle of the peninsula also known as the Rockaways. Some people call it the 6th borough because its actually not attached to Queens. It rests across the water from Brooklyn on one side and Long Beach on the other. When not using a bridge, you have to literally drive through Long Island to get into Queens. I was born and raised on this peninsula. My Junior High School is actually 2 blocks away from the library! This event is near and dear to my heart. It feels great to come back to my community and share my published work.
